Why lactic acid?
Lactic acid is helpful for smoothing and softening rough or scaly skin and keeping blackheads and acne at bay.
It's suitable for dry and sensitive skin because it is one of the gentlest alpha-hydroxy (AHA) acids, and it offers hydrating benefits as well. I love it, personally it's my favourite acid.
It's also vegan - not made from milk!
Why in a cleanser rather than a toner?
Using a wash-off acid instead of a leave-on acid toner also helps keep this product gentle.
